Maria Brink

 Maria Brink was born December 18 1977. She is an American artist and singer. In This Moment released seven studio albums and won four nominations from Alternative Press Music Awards. Additionally, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" and "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Brink is one of the eleven women from heavy rock who are important to Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 Hottest Girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 at the age of 25, to find an act. Before that she worked in retail as well as in coffee shops and bars. In 2004, she met current band members Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth rebuked Brink because she was a woman. Howorth apologized after two weeks and hired Brink to be the singer. They started the band Dying Star with drummer Jeff Fabb .They were later joined by guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. They soon changed their name to In This Moment
