Anita Saarkessian

Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic and public speaker. Feminist Frequency provides videos, commentaries and analysis of how popular culture depicts women. Anita Sarkeesian was a Canadian and an American feminist media critic. She is the founder and director-general of Feminist Frequency which is an education, non-profit site that examines the representation of women within popular culture narratives. In her efforts to dispel the myths of women that have been portrayed in pop culture, she works to highlight issues related to the targeted harassment of women and the other marginalized groups of the Internet world. Sarkeesian is a graduate in social thought and politics from York University. She is an extremely well-respected and respected public speaking. Sarkeesian gave speeches to the TEDxWomen Festival as well as to the United Nations Broadband Working Group. As a university student, Sarkeesian became concerned about issues related to gender identity and women's rights in the early stages. The ambitious lady planned to start an internet-based series that examined gender representation in games, but was the target of an online campaign to harass her. But the harassment did not hinder her. It only strengthened her as a journalist who is feminist. Sarkeesian has been awarded numerous awards for her numerous significant contributions to the world of feminism. Anita Sarkeesian is an award nominated media critic as well as the founder of Feminist Frequency an educational nonprofit which studies the portrayals of women in pop media and the narratives that surround them.
