Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington. She began her acting career as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano. The role she played as the enthusiastic and lively character Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) earned her the award. Paquin had a small role in the TV film of 1997 adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. Also, she played queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The actress played teens in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
